The moon shone bright
On a halloween night
The grass seemed to glow
With a radiant light
Five pumpkins cowered unseen
They looked to their king
What should they do
But be carved for Halloween
The king, the biggest of all
Said we shall climb the wall
The others said "We have no hands
For we can't climb at all"
As they thought, they heard a sound
A creaking sound
Of a door opening
The farmer was upon them in one bound
No one dared peer
At the farmer this year
To scared to look
The time was near
Put on the porch step
There they were kept
With their insides glowing
And there they sat as they wept
And then it was seen
A child with batlike wings
As he walked away he heard
"BOO! it's Halloween!"
